DRUNKEN FRUIT WATERCOLOR MELON MOJITO

I’m back with another delicious mojito recipe from Drunken Fruit, a black-owned company based in Brooklyn. Drunken Fruit is “adult candy” that can be used to enhance so many of your favorite recipes-from desserts to cocktails. Visit their website to place an order.

The traditional mojito calls for muddled mint and is topped with club soda. But we switched things up a bit. Instead of fresh mint, I made a mint simple syrup (recipe below). And instead of club soda, this mojito is topped with a sparkling rosé-perfect for the summer! This cocktail is also extra special because it was made with not one, but three Black-owned brands. Ten to One White Rum, Drunken Fruit Watermelon, and B. Stuyvesant Sparkling Rosé combine to create this spectacular cocktail.

DRUNKEN FRUIT WATERMELON

Drunken Fruit is organic fruit that is aged in a proprietary blend of alcohol. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also extremely versatile. It always makes a great addition to any cocktail. For the mojito, I used about an ounce of the liquid from the jar, also known as the dew, to add watermelon flavor to the drink. And to take things up another notch, I added the watermelon pieces to the bottom of the glass.
