Make Your Own Margarita Bar

If you’re hosting friends at your place, a Margarita Bar is the perfect way to cater to everyone’s tastes while giving you, the host, the freedom to actually mix, mingle and entertain. I hosted some friends at my place last Friday for a monthly get together. The Margarita Bar was a fun way to encourage everyone to play mixologist for the night.

For this setup, I premade a large batch of classic margarita that served as a base. Then, I encouraged guests to elevate their margarita using a host of different ingredients, like fresh mint, cucumber habanero syrup, and more. Guests were encouraged to make their own creations. But I also shared 3 simple variations that were easy to recreate.

1. Cucumber Habanero Margarita

Classic Margarita + 1 oz Root 23 Cucumber Habanero Syrup

2. Strawberry Mint Margarita

Classic Margarita + 4 mint leaves + 2 fresh strawberries

3. Sparkling Mango Margarita

Classic Margarita + 1 oz mango nectar + splash of prosecco

Here are all the things you’ll need to set up your very own margarita bar:

  • A large pitcher or beverage dispenser for your classic margarita

  • Signage with suggested recipes to help guests get started

  • Stylish cups/glassware

  • Muddler

  • Rimming salts or sugars

  • Fresh strawberries

  • A few bottles of Prosecco

  • Root 23 Cucumber Habanero Syrup

  • Mango nectar

  • Fresh mint
