Holiday Bar Cart Decor

If you’ve read any of my bar cart posts before, you know that I’m not really a seasonal decorator. The time and energy it takes to decorate an entire home is a lot. So instead of decorating my entire apartment, I take my talents to my bar cart. And for the holiday season, I treat my bar cart like my Christmas tree. There is no way I would miss out on showcasing my idea of holiday bar cart decor.

I updated my bar cart decor just in time for the start of the holiday season. Keep reading for inspo and to see where you can go to get your hands on the decor pictured. If you’re new to bar cart styling and want a general style guide, check out the 5 essentials every bar cart should have.

Bar Cart: If you’re new here, you might not have guessed that I bought this bar cart from Walmart for less than $70. I love it so much because it adds a level of sophistication to my living room decor.

Glass trees from Target were perfect for my holiday bar cart decor

Assorted Glass Trees: At only $1 a pop, I knew I couldn’t go wrong with these glass trees for my holiday bar cart decor. I couldn’t find a link to them on Target’s website. But if you’re shopping in store, check the Bullseye/Dollar Spot section.

Decanter: The decanter was custom-made for me by my friends at Reclamation Etchworks. They make stunning pieces that elevate your home bar. From decanters to glasses to bitters bottles, they have just the piece you need to add some class and style to your cart.

Stemless Flutes: These beauties are from a Black and woman-owned company called Serenity Staples. This is the Rosé Mimosa Glass. I love the blush color and gold rim, which adds a luxurious feel. I love glassware and I’m so glad to have found a Black-owned company that has a lovely glassware selection. And it’s great quality!

Drink Stirrers: These gorgeous, long stirrers are from Serenity Staples as well. The rainbow one is my absolute fave!

Bottle Brush Trees: These teeny trees were the perfect size for my bar cart. I fell in love with the color and scooped them up immediately at Target. I think they added a luxe touch to my holiday bar cart decor.

Felt Letter Board: I got this letter board at Michael’s. I’ve wanted one for a while so when I saw this one in store for $5, I had to grab it. It comes with 163 characters so you can write all kinds of corny messages like I do. Be warned that this one does not come with a stand. So you’ll have to purchase one separately or lean the board on something sturdy.

The CB2 Gianna Dish with Lid (large) filled with mini ornaments

Dish with Lid: It’s no secret that CB2 is my favorite store in the world. They sell unique, modern home goods and furniture at reasonable prices. Typically, it’s my go-to place for unique glassware. But on my most recent trip, I saw this spherical, glass container. And I decided I could not leave without it. For my holiday decor, I filled it with paper shreds and mini ornaments. But I can also see myself filling it with small candies and garnishes when I’m entertaining at home.

Mini Ornaments: I picked up a set of these mini ornaments at Target. I initially bought them as props for a photo. But they were perfect for adding some holiday cheer to my holiday cart decor.

Cocktail Snob Coaster

Custom coasters by Rain Sky Home

Custom Coasters: I first discovered Rain Sky Home coasters when I received a set of their Africa coasters in a PR box this year. And I’ve been a fan ever since. So when I saw the option to create custom coasters on their website, I went ahead and ordered a set. And I could not be happier with how they turned out.

Taper Candles: These lovely chocolate taper candles are from H&M’s home section. It’s a great place for cheap-ish, stylish home decor. I wasn’t able to find a link to the candles on H&M’s website. But here is a similar candle at Ikea.

Wine Gift Bag: Whenever I see cute and inexpensive wine gift bags, I buy them to add to my stash. They’re great to have on hand in case you need to bring some spirits to a party or gift a host or hostess. And most bags will fit a standard 750ml bottle. I picked this one up at Marshalls for $1. Paper Source always has some cute ones too!

tartan bow on bar cart

Tartan Bow: I am obsessed with this giant bow! It’s the gold trim for me. It’s another gem from Marshalls. But here are similar ones from Amazon and Etsy. The bow is super stylish and an easy way to add some color to my bar cart decor.

Fur “Rug”: So this is not exactly a rug. It’s actually two fur seat cushions that I bought on Amazon a few years ago for my bar stools. To create the “snow on the ground” look, I layered them to cover the bottom shelf of the bar cart. But an actual fur or shaggy rug would definitely do the trick.

Leaf Garland: This was a last minute addition but I love it! It gives me tree skirt/tree collar vibes. I got this one from Ikea a few years ago for my Thanksgiving dinner tablscape. It looks like it’s no longer available at Ikea. But here is a similar one from Michael’s. One garland will look a little sparse. But I recommend layering two strips of garland together for a fuller look.
